Oscar liveblog: ‘Up’ makes it 2 for 2 for the favorites

5:58 pm: So much for hopes/predictions for a “Coraline” upset. “Up” takes the prize for best animated, and, with his speech, Pete Docter continues a nine-month run of proving a genial, if harmless public presence.

And now 3 for 3 for the favorites as Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett win for best song. It’s the only time anyone will take the stage tonight for being Ryan Bingham.

We’re disappointed that there’s no T Bone wackiness onstage, though. Guy is incapable of being serious (See under: indoor sunglasses).
