TUESDAY

Parents with autistic children would go to the ends of the earth to help them, which is how a rural Texas couple and their son find themselves in the wilds of Mongolia in the 2009 documentary “The Horse Boy” on “Independent Lens.” (KCET, 10 p.m.)

WEDNESDAY

The best rock group to come out of Los Angeles … ever … period. The late Jim Morrison and his band mates are profiled in the documentary “The Doors: When You’re Strange” on a new “American Masters.” Johnny Depp narrates.(KCET, 9 p.m.)

THURSDAY

Does anyone else find it disturbing that the actor who plays the holier-than-thou Jacob on “Lost” also portrays the unholier-than-thou Lucifer on “Supernatural”? Mark Pellegrino guest stars in the latter series’ sixth-season finale. (KTLA, 9 p.m.)

FRIDAY
“MTV World Stage: Coldplay” features the U.K. rock outfit, led by singer Chris Martin, performing “Yellow,” “Fix You” and other hits in a 2009 concert in Tokyo. (VH1, 11 p.m.)

SATURDAY

Robots! Explosions! Megan Fox! More robots! More explosions! All that, and Shia LaBeouf and Josh Dudamel, in director Michael Bay’s 2009 sequel “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.” (Cinemax, 10 p.m.)

MEN IN TIGHTS

“The Real Robin Hood” includes a sneak peek at the upcoming movie starring Russell Crowe, while “The Legends of Robin Hood... With Olly Steeds” sends its host on a trek through Sherwood Forest. (History, 8 p.m. Tuesday; Discovery, 8 p.m. Thursday)

NICE BEARD
