Scoundrels: In a serious financial crisis, the family realizes they must find legitimate jobs as soon as possible (9 p.m. ABC).

Masterpiece Mystery!: An archaeological dig in Syria is the scene of murder in the Middle East, leading vacationing Belgian detective Hercule Poirot (David Suchet) to unravel a tragic tale of twisted family secrets. Tim Curry and Elizabeth McGovern also star in the new episode “Poirot X: Appointment With Death,” based on a novel by Agatha Christie (9 p.m. KCET).

Leverage: Nathan (Timothy Hutton) and his crew target a greedy debt collector who is preying on innocent taxpayers, only to discover that their quarry is also a domestic terrorist who is funding an armed militia. Clancy Brown guest stars in this new episode (9 p.m. TNT).

Mad Men: Season 3 closed as the country was reeling from John F. Kennedy’s assassination and the uncertain new world that was taking shape. In the Season 4 premiere, Don (Jon Hamm) makes a mistake that jeopardizes the new agency (10 p.m. AMC).

My Boys: Season 4 of the hit comedy series begins tonight with back-to-back episodes (10 and 10:30 p.m. TBS).

The Client List: A woman unknowingly takes a job at a massage parlor where prostitution runs rampant in this 2010 TV movie starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Cybill Shepherd (7 p.m. Lifetime).
