No. 6: Butch Goring (23 first-place votes, 7,872 points)
Goring starred for nine seasons for the Kings, developing into one of the most complete players in the league. He scored 30 goals four times, and from 1971-80 had at least 50 points each season, including a career-high 87 in the 1978-79 season.
In the 1979-80 season, Goring was traded to the New York Islanders in exchange for Billy Harris and Dave Lewis, and helped the Islanders win four consecutive Stanley Cup titles.
Among Kings career leaders, Goring is sixth in games played (736), fifth in goals (275), sixth in assists (384) and sixth in points (659).
