Girls water polo: La Habra finds some “first time ever” magic

I guess it’s a week for ‘first evers.’ Not only did Corona Santiago beat Norco for the ‘first time ever’ in girls’ basketball, but in girls’ water polo, La Habra defeated Sunny Hills in a Freeway League match for the first time.
The Highlanders needed overtime to do it, with a goal from Michelle Schrader in the second sudden-death OT giving them an 8-7 victory. Read Dan Albano’s account of the game. Ranked Nos. 1 and 3 in Division VI, it sounds like the game lived up to expectations.
