Kevin Jackson has a Respect Policy. Any violator will get something sudden -- the boot. Doesn’t matter if you’re a senior, a star or the second-coming of Kobe.
Already this season, Jackson, the coach of Crossroads boys’ basketball, has suspended two players -- two captains, mind you. ‘They would start barking at refs or at other players,’ Jackson said. ‘They had an unworthy attitude.’
At the time of the suspensions, the Roadrunners were 11-1. And since, they’ve lost three of five. But a bigger victory has been established: ‘a moral standard,’ Jackson said. ‘With a bad attitude and a smart mouth, that gets you nowhere.’
Actually, it gets you off his team.
