Otavka’s shooting proves too hot for Saugus to handle

John Otavka is one of the most dangerous shooters in the Foothill League and his wrists were on fire Friday night.

The senior guard scored 21 of his 27 points in the second half and netted a trio of three-pointers as Valencia grabbed sole possession of first place with a 68-60 victory over Saugus.

Check out what Gerry Gittelson of the Daily News had to say about the Vikings’ big win. It’ll be interesting to see if Valencia can keep its title horse galloping at full speed over the next four games.
