Corona Santiago Coach Steve Mitchell resigned on Monday, according to the Press-Enterprise.
Mitchell coached the Sharks for eight seasons, compiling a career record of 55-40. He led Santiago to seven playoff berths, including a Southern Section Inland Division championship game appearance in 2007. The Sharks lost to Redlands East Valley in the first round this past season after finishing in a three-way tie for second place in the Big VIII League.
