There are lots of Loyola fans and players who will have their fingers crossed waiting to hear the status of standout running back Anthony Barr, who suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of a 26-7 loss to Mission Viejo.
He was scheduled to have X-rays. He was on crutches in the second half. Coach Jeff Kearin said medical staff were not certain of how serious his injury is.
‘They don’t feel great about it,’ he said. ‘He has tenderness. That has them concerned.’
