Football: Mark Paredes is returning to Riverside North

Mark Paredes, who guided Riverside North to two Southern Section football championships and five league titles nearly a decade ago, is returning as coach.

Paredes, who also enjoyed success as head coach at La Puente Bishop Amat, has been an assistant at Riverside Community College.

It continues a trend of veteran coaches returning to the high school ranks. Last month, Jon Mack gave up the coaching position at Ventura College to take over at Encino Crespi.
