A man who was shot and killed by a sheriff’s deputy in West Hollywood last week when he reportedly drew a can of hair spray was identified as John Caluori, 24, of Hollywood. The Sheriff’s Department said identification was withheld until the man’s out-of-state family could be notified. Caluori allegedly was wearing heavy makeup and carrying a purse when he was stopped for questioning on Sunset Boulevard. Deputy Robert Harms, 27, said he fired when he mistook the hastily drawn spray can for a weapon.
