Construction Group Elects Woman Chief

Rickey Gamore has become the first woman president of the 35-year-old, Sacramento-based Construction Industry Legislative Council, succeeding Len Silva of Builders Exchange in Northern California.
Gamore is executive director of the Air Conditioning Sheet Metal Assn. and president of TAC Inc., her own multiple association management firm headquartered in Los Angeles.
Founded in 1947, the Council is an association of major construction industry management and labor trade associations. Its annual legislation conference is scheduled Feb. 19,20 in Sacramento.
Other new officers include Michael Leeson, executive director of the California Landscape Contractors Assn., vice president, and Peter R. Arrigoni, manager of Marin Builders Exchange, secretary-treasurer.
