Crescenta Valley High made 21 of 23 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter to ensure a win over Muir at home.
Harvey Mason, averaging 27 points a game, scored 35 to lead Crescenta Valley. Drew Habro had 12 rebounds and eight assists and Mike McGeagh added 15 rebounds.
Tony Akins scored 29 points for Muir, which fell into a tie for second place in the Pacific League with a 4-2 record. Muir is 15-5 overall.
