Fire Damages Disneyland Ride

A Disneyland ride was slightly damaged Thursday night when a small fire broke out and was quickly extinguished.
No one apparently was injured in the blaze, which erupted just before 6 p.m. and scorched some paint on a rocketship ride in Tomorrowland, according to Bob Roth, a spokesman for the Anaheim amusement park.
Roth said the flames were extinguished by park firefighters before units from the Anaheim Fire Department arrived. The park was closing under its winter schedule at 6 p.m., just about the time of the fire, Anaheim fire officials said.
