Local News in Brief : Bodies of Man, Woman Slain in Separate Incidents Discovered

The bodies of a man and a woman, stabbed to death in apparently unrelated killings, were found in the West Valley on Monday.
A passer-by found the body of Rodney Tyrone Cook, 27, of Reseda lying in an auto repair shop parking lot at 6928 Reseda Blvd. in Reseda, Detective Stan Miller said. Miller said police have no clues in the case.
The body of Dana Phleger, 19, of Sepulveda, a beautician who had been reported missing by her father Saturday, was found in her car at Platt Avenue and Pomelo Drive in Canoga Park, police said. The body was sighted by residents of the neighborhood, who said they examined the car after wondering why an unfamiliar auto had been parked there since the weekend.
