Corsair Cagers to Meet Pasadena

The Santa Monica College men’s basketball team, in third place in Metropolitan Conference competition, will host Pasadena at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The Corsairs (13-12 overall and 6-4 in Metro) have lost twice to Pasadena: in preseason, 60-59, and in league competition, 69-61.
In league play Pasadena (11-13, 5-5) is hitting 46% of its shots from the floor and 71% from the line. The Lanc rs’ leading scorer is guard-forward Jock White (averaging 16 points a game) followed by guard Glenn Jackson (15) and Trent Higgins (15). Center Donald Nelson is averaging 10.5 rebounds.
The Corsairs are hitting 48.2% of their shots from the floor and 65.6% from the line. In league play the team is led by forward Don Dorsey (12.5 points, 6.1 rebounds), guard Tim Preston (11.5 points, four assists), forward Mike Bragg (11.5 points, 7.3 rebounds) and forward Kim Jones (10.2 points, 6.4 rebounds).
Last week the Corsairs won two road games, defeating Harbor, 55-51, and Pierce, 84-59.
