Del Webb Donates Large Auditorium to Arizona State

Del E. Webb Development Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Phoenix-based Del E. Webb Corp., has donated Sun City West’s $8.65-million, 7,169-seat Sundome Center for the Performing Arts to Arizona State University in honor of the university’s centennial.
Gift of the Sundome, called “the largest single-level auditorium in the country,” was announced by Robert K. Swanson, Webb Corp. chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Paige Mulhollan, Arizona State’s executive vice president, said that the Sundome represents the largest single gift ever received by the university.
