Work Started on Commissary
Work has begun on a $9-million commissary to provide commodities and groceries to retired military personnel and their families at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompoc.
Designed by Leidenfrost/Horowitz AIA of Burbank, the 85,000-square-foot, single-level store on a five-acre site will replace a smaller, outdated facility located nearby.
Construction is expected to be completed in November.
