Pepsi-Cola will become available to millions of Chinese for the first time when the bottling plant is opened in the Canton province later this year, Pepsi-Cola International reported. The American soft-drink manufacturer said the plant will produce Pepsi, Mirinda Orange and Teem exclusively for the Chinese market and bring Pepsi-Cola’s production in China to 10 million cases a year. Pepsi-Cola established its first bottling plant in the special economic zone of Shenzhen in 1982, but those soft drinks are produced for export, primarily to Hong Kong and other Asian countries.
