McGavran Named Sea View MVP

Senior guard Chuck McGavran of Newport Harbor High School was selected as the Most Valuable Player for the 1984-85 Sea View League basketball season by the league’s coaches in a meeting earlier this week.
McGavran helped the Sailors unseat Estancia as the league champion, averaging 16.2 points and 8.4 assists per game.
