Northridge Gains Division II Regional Final

BILLINGS, Mont. — Guard Mike Almeido scored 18 points, and forward Larry White added 13 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead Cal State Northridge to a 70-59 victory over Eastern Montana in a first-round game of the NCAA Division II West Regional basketball tournament Friday night
The victory sent the Matadors (20-9) into today’s championship game against Cal State Hayward.
Hayward (20-7) got seven straight points late in the game from junior guard Michael Harris to defeat Norfolk State, 64-61. The losers ended their season at 22-7.
