Kristi Alves Is Perfect

Move over Samantha Ford. Here comes Kristi Alves.

In a 7-0 victory over Alhambra on Tuesday, the Burroughs High freshman, served notice that she may be the next dominating arm in Valley high school softball. She picked up 17 strikeouts and pitched a perfect game in the Foothill League opener. Alves struck out the first nine batters.

Her last four outings include a no-hitter and a pair of one-hitters. Alves has all of her team’s decisions. Both are now 6-3 this season
