$200,000 Fire at AT&T; Building

An early morning fire caused an estimated $200,000 damage to two 18th-floor offices in the downtown AT&T; Center building, city fire officials said.
City fire spokesman Greg Acevedo said the fire at 611 W. 6th St. broke out at 12:50 a.m. Seventy firefighters took 40 minutes to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported. The suites were occupied by Mead Data Central, an electronic publishing firm, officials there said.
