TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras — A U.S. Air Force OA-37 training jet crashed today in northern Honduras with two crew members on board, the U.S. Embassy said.
Embassy spokesman Arthur Skop said the aircraft, a training bomber, went down near Tela, a port 217 miles north of the capital. “We don’t know up to now the condition the plane is in or that of the crew,” Skop said. American soldiers have left for the site of the crash to search for the plane and crew, he said.
