Two Earthquakes Strike in Central Nicaragua

MANAGUA, Nicaragua — Two earthquakes, measuring 6.0 and 5.4 on the Richter scale, shook central Nicaragua on Friday, sending people fleeing into the streets. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The tremors hit about 15 minutes apart.
