UCLA Upsets No. 1 Stanford in Tennis

UCLA’s No. 4-ranked tennis team upset No. 1 Stanford, 8-1, Friday at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. The Bruins (8-1) need only to beat California today to wrap up the Pacific 10 Southern Division dual-match title.
Stanford is 6-2 and will play USC (7-2) today. Cal lost to USC, 7-2, Friday.
UCLA’s biggest win Friday came in No. 1 singles, where Mike Kures upset No. 1-ranked Dan Goldie, 6-3, 6-4.
