The only recent evidence of a degenerating Calendar Letters Page was your decision to publish Matt Barber’s complaints (Calendar Letters, April 21).
Matt obviously has minimal appreciation of the quick-witted repartee and high-profile intellectual dexterity of most letters’ authors. The cognoscenti welcome opinions from all corners--and these letters are an often hilarious, usually “hip” forum for the thoughts of media-watchers and the legitimately concerned.
Mr. Barber, I hope this potshot finds you well!
