One reader (Viewers’ Views, April 7) described Phil Donahue as “abrupt, abrasive, and on one show, downright mean.” I do not agree! In my opinion, he is a well-informed, involved interviewer. If fault was to be found, it might be with his energetic approach, and at times his almost childlike enthusiasm. Considering the infinite variety of topics that he has aired, I for one, am impressed by and appreciative to him for warming to his subjects in such a genuine, wholehearted way.
