Simons Memorial Set

A memorial for the late Grace Simons, longtime leader of efforts to preserve and upgrade Elysian Park, will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the park lodge named after her at 1025 Elysian Park Drive.
City Councilman John Ferraro is expected to be among the speakers to eulogize Simons, who was president emeritus of the Citizens Committee to Save Elysian Park. Simons died last month at age 84.
