Another employee from the Woodland Hills office of Blue Cross of California has been arrested in connection with a $57,000 insurance fraud scheme, state authorities said Tuesday. Five employees and two other people were arrested last week and accused of generating or receiving checks for themselves and friends by entering false information into the company’s computer system.
The latest suspect is Gregory Jenkins, 25, of North Hollywood, who was arrested Saturday at his home on suspicion of grand theft and possession of a stolen check, said Rudy Cunningham, a senior investigator for the fraud unit of the state Department of Insurance. Jenkins was released Sunday on $500 bail from Los Angeles County Jail.
Cunningham said no further arrests are expected.
