President’s Tax Proposals
Why is the coalition of land developers, real estate people and lending institutions to be considered somehow above the rest of us? Why can’t we have a simplified flat tax--period? No special deductions, no loopholes.
Why is the dire threat of a “housing slump” so especially terrifying to us all? Vacation and second-home builders are not to be considered such sacred cows, nor are new car salespeople expected to be spared their lumps in this recent proposal.
If this latest Administration tax reform bill is ever enacted, one segment would be in fact subsidized by all taxpayers: the home builders.
