Support for Graves

The attack against Chief Administrative Officer Cliff Graves is unwarranted. I have been a member of the County Civil Service Commission since 1981. I have seen some positive changes in county administration during that time, and they are directly attributed to Mr. Graves.
Through the Proposition 13 period Mr. Graves managed to find financial resources to continue county services, while other California counties experienced grave difficulties.
Regardless of what some of the public may think, Mr. Graves has and will continue to discharge the responsibilities that have been entrusted to him. When he is properly prepared, I am confident that he will make the necessary changes in the county system and any required personnel replacements.
I am expressing my personal opinion and not that of the Civil Service Commission.
