I thoroughly enjoyed “The Tony Awards” on CBS. It is still the most entertaining of all the awards shows. The cameramen in particular did a superb job that enabled viewers to feel as if they were actually in the theater. Not so with the Emmy and Oscar shows, which are broadcast like tennis matches, with cameras panning back and forth non-stop between the stage and the audience.
