Speed Limit on Beach Road: All vehicles cruising the city beach service road, including bicycles, must conform to a 10-m.p.h. speed limit imposed to head off accidents during the crowded summer months. Lifeguard Capt. Bill Richardson said the city is publicizing the limit this month and will begin issuing citations in July. He said radar may be used and citations may also be issued for any bicyclist considered to be riding in a hazardous manner.
