Area Builders, Architects Win Big : Southland Firms Capture Most Gold Nuggets at PCBC

Southern California builders and architects captured most of the Gold Nugget Awards presented Friday during the 22nd annual Pacific Coast Builders Conference in San Francisco.

Out of 776 projects from 14 western states, the Amberwood Plan of Woodbridge Laurels in Irvine, designed by McLarand, Vasquez & Partners Inc. and built by Irvine Pacific, was named “Attached Home of the Year.” The title “Detached Home of the Year” went to the Dover Plan of Huntington Woods in The Woodlands, Tex. That home was designed by EDI Architects/Planners and built by Hometown builders. Land planner was Richardson Nagy Martin.
