A Little Warmth

Some years ago my late husband and I went on a trip to Europe. He had had radiation therapy that made his skin dark and his hair very thin. Additionally, he was quite old. After reading Bob O’Sullivan’s June 2 story, which moved me, I sat down and thought about that trip.

We were quite alone during that three weeks on a bus full of people. Oh, how I wish that there had been someone like Mrs. O’Sullivan and those two girls to bring a little more sunshine into his final days. I hope with all my heart that the people who read that story might be brought to realize what offering a little warmth can mean.
