Arson Probe in Anaheim Fire
Anaheim Mayor Don Roth said the chemical fire that forced evacuation of as many as 10,000 residents is being investigated as possible arson. Evacuated residents returned to their homes overnight Tuesday after the blaze was extinguished, but about 27 businesses around the Larry Fricker Co. warehouse remain closed while the cleanup continues.
Meanwhile, a bomb squad was dispatched to the scene of the fire this morning after officials noticed wires leading from a late-model Cadillac parked next to the pesticide and fertilizer warehouse. Police said no bomb was found.
