Victor Posner sold stock back to Johnson Controls.

The Milwaukee-based company said it purchased 1,773,845 of its common shares, at $45 per share, from companies controlled by the Miami-based financier. The shares represented all of the Johnson Controls stock held by the Posner-controlled firms, which was approximately 8.7% of the 20.4 million Johnson Controls shares outstanding. Posner has also agreed not to acquire any Johnson Controls common stock for 10 years. The company’s stock closed last Friday at $43.875, up 62.5 cents.
