WASHINGTON — A permit to build a TV station on Channel 20 in New Orleans has been canceled by the Federal Communications Commission.
A Rochester, N.Y., company held the permit, which was first granted in 1980. The permit had been extended twice and changed hands twice since it was originally approved.
The company, New Orleans Channel 20 Inc., had asked for another extension and for permission to sell the permit for a reported $250,000.
