San Diego police arrested two men Tuesday in connection with the killing of a woman whose body was found Saturday near Genesee Avenue and California 52. Deborah Lynn Huerta, 23, had been stabbed to death about a week earlier, according to police spokesman Bill Robinson.
The body was identified Tuesday, and an investigation led homicide detectives to Kevin Patrick McEachern, 26, and Tony Alan Castleman, 22, both of San Diego. Huerta had been living with McEachern on Ogalala Avenue in the Clairemont area of San Diego.
Huerta’s body was partly clothed and wrapped in a plastic garment bag, Robinson said. It had several stab wounds to the chest.
The men were arrested at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday as they drove away from their homes on Ogalala Avenue. They were booked on suspicion of murder at the County Jail downtown.
