CARSON CITY, Nev. — John Sidote, ex-husband of feminist Ginny Foat, was granted a release Thursday from the Northern Nevada Correctional Center.
Sidote is serving a 25-year term for robbing and killing a Lake Tahoe man. He is expected to be released within two months and plans to take a construction job in New York, the state Parole Board said, adding that terms include a steady job and no drinking of alcohol.
Sidote was a key prosecution witness at Foat’s trial in 1983 in Gretna, La., for the beating death of an Argentine businessman. Foat was acquitted.
