Local News in Brief : Arleta Grandfather Guilty of Molestation

A72-year-old Arleta man pleaded guilty Thursday in San Fernando Municipal Court to molesting his 12-year-old granddaughter and committing statutory rape with a 16-year-old neighbor.
Alfred Creasy originally faced four counts of child molestation and six counts of statutory rape for his assaults on the girls, but under a plea bargain with prosecutors he pleaded guilty to one count of each offense, Deputy Dist. Atty. Kenneth Loveman said.
Creasy, who has been free on his own recognizance, faces up to eight years and eight months in state prison when he appears for sentencing in San Fernando Superior Court on Aug. 28, Loveman said.
