Funeral Services Set for Rev. Eugene Blake

Memorial services for the Rev. Eugene Carson Blake will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, where the clergyman pastored from 1940 to 1951 before becoming a major influence in Protestantism as United Presbyterian Church executive, National Council of Churches president and World Council of Churches general secretary.
Blake died July 31 at age 78 in Stamford, Conn., where he had lived since leaving the World Council post in 1972. His survivors include his wife, Jean, and a brother, Howard Carson Blake of Santa Barbara.
