A newborn infant girl was found dead Tuesday in a garbage container in a motel restroom, San Diego police said.
Police said the infant was found by a cleaning woman at the Harborside Motel, 1403 Rosencrans St. The woman was cleaning the lobby restroom about 10:30 a.m. when she found a white plastic bag in the trash can with the infant inside it.
The San Diego County coroner’s office said the infant appeared to be fully developed. An autopsy was scheduled for today to determine if the infant was stillborn.
