Red Tide Closes Some Atlantic Shellfish Beds

BOSTON — Massachusetts environmental officials closed shellfishing grounds from Manchester to the New Hampshire state line Friday because of contamination from red tide, an algae that can sicken humans who eat shellfish that have fed on it.
