Salonen Wins Rally; Peugeot Wins Team Title

JYVASKYLA, Finland — Timo Salonen of Finland, driving a Peugeot, secured the rally drivers’ world championship title by winning the Thousand Lakes rally on Sunday.
Peugeot also took the car makers’ championship.
The rally covered 874 miles on gravel roads in central Finland, with 284 miles of special stages.
