Pilot Lands Safely After Hawk Smashes Windshield

ST. LOUIS — The pilot and two passengers of a twin-engine plane were blasted with frigid wind and bits of Plexiglas when a chicken hawk smashed through the aircraft’s windshield Wednesday.
The pilot managed to safely land the six-seat Beechcraft Baron at Spirit of St. Louis Airport. One passenger suffered a minor case of frostbite from the wind.
