CAL-ARTS GETS GRANT FOR NEW MUSIC EVENT

CalArts has been awarded a $60,000 grant by the Atlantic Richfield Foundation to assist in the presentation of New Music America, an 11-day event beginning Oct. 31.
The festival will include concerts, visual arts installations, dance, film and video presentations and musical theater. CalArts is one of the principals in a 25-member arts consortium presenting the multimedia event.
