Meese’s View of Miranda Rule

If Meese is quoted accurately in his opposition to the Miranda ruling, as believing that most innocent persons are willing to talk to police because “they want to establish their innocence . . .,” would it be impertinent to remind him that, in the United States, according to the Constitution, innocence is presumed and does not need to be “established”?
Perhaps Meese should also be reminded that he is a sworn and salaried employees of the U.S. Department of Justice.
