On a third-quarter field-goal attempt by North Hollywood, the snap bounced past holder Frank Scibella to kicker Steve Chuck. Chuck scrambled past three defenders and passed the ball to Scibella, who ran 12 yards for a touchdown, making the score 10-7. . . . Sylmar’s Shawn Hampton had a 74-yard touchdown run in the third quarter on the first play of the Spartan’s third drive. Hampton took a pitchout and ran around the left end for the touchdown, which gave Sylmar a 7-3 lead. KEY PLAYERS
Shawn Hampton (S) carried the ball 16 times for 167 yards. Hampton, who played running back and linebacker, stopped a North Hollywood drive to take the ball back late in the fourth quarter, but the Huskies couldn’t capitalize. In addition to his 74-yard touchdown run, Hampton also ran 71 yards for a touchdown, but it was called back for an illegal motion penalty. Running back Pookie Conner (NH) ran the ball 10 times for 102 yards.
